The Infancy Gospel of Thomas: The Text, its Origins, and its Transmission by Tony Chartrand-Burke (U.Toronto, 2001).
Presents a critical edition of four Greek recensions of the text (Greek A, B, D, and S) using all known published and unpublished manuscripts. Also features a comprehensive overview of scholarship on the text, an examination of the text's christology, and a discussion of how the gospel's portrayal of Jesus is consistent with ancient views of the ideal child.
The More Spiritual Gospel: Markan Literary Techniques in the Longer Gospel of Mark by Scott G. Brown (U. Toronto, 1999)
Brown contends that “Secret Mark” is more appropriately called a “mystical” or “more spiritual” gospel and, examined for its literary characteristics, appears to be an expanded version of Mark which elaborates and elucidates Markan themes and symbolism relating to discipleship and Christology.
